Baptiste shows next generation of young leaders the way

The stunning and beautiful backdrop of First Nations University served as site for February’s “Leaders Creating Future Leaders” event, featuring Cherise Jean Baptiste.

The Feb. 28 luncheon saw Baptiste, the 2016 Most Outstanding University of Regina Young Alumni winner, use the analogy that “education is new buffalo”, allowing the next generation to pursue their dreams to stay in school or pursue a profession or a trade.

Cherise Jean-Baptiste addresses the Leaders Creating Future Leaders luncheon.

Conexus Credit Union, the Regina Intersectoral Partnership and Regina Crime Stoppers are the partners in these unique monthly luncheons which expose at-risk youth in our city to the positive and reinforcing influence of leaders.   We thank Cherise for taking the time to share her message of hope with the children.

A wonderful day with our children at First Nations University. Thank you to Conexus, TRIP and Regina Police Services.
