IT’S 5 DAYS BEFORE CHRISTMAS. DECEMBER 20TH AND SOMEONE IS NOT IN A GIVING MOOD.

IT’S ABOUT 1:30 IN THE MORNING WHEN A MAN USES THE OFF SALE DOOR AT CREEKSIDE PUB ON THE 3200 BLOCK OF EASTGATE DRIVE. HE GOES STRAIGHT FOR THE TILL, BUT IT’S NOT IN A GIVING MOOD EITHER. SO HE JUMPS THE COUNTER AND TURNS HIS ATTENTION ON THE LOUNGE AREA. BUBKIS. THIS CROOK HAS NO RECOURSE BUT TO BOLT OUT THE BACK DOOR EMPTY HANDED HEADING WEST – AND WONDERING ABOUT A DIFFERENT LINE OF WORK.

INTERESTINGLY ENOUGH HE MAY HAVE TRIED THE SAME CRIME AT A BUSINESS ON STOCKTON STREET A HALF HOUR EARLIER. DESCRIPTIONS FROM BOTH CRIMES ARE SIMILAR. THE SUSPECT IS A MAN IN HIS LATE TEENS OR EARLY TWENTIES AND AROUND 6 FEET TALL. HE HAD A SLIM BUILD AND WAS WEARING A WHITE BALACLAVA, NAVY BLUE HOODIE WITH AN ABERCROMBIE AND FITCH LOGO, DARK PANTS, BLUE NIKE RUNNERS WITH NEON GREEN LACES AND DARK GLOVES.
