Attempted theft

IT’S JUST BEFORE 10 O’CLOCK AT NIGHT ON FEBRUARY THE 15TH. A WOMAN GETS A KNOCK ON HER DOOR ON THE 400 BLOCK OF 17TH AVENUE EAST. IT’S THE KIND OF LATE EVENING VISIT NO ONE IS LOOKING FOR.

SHE BARELY CRACKS THE DOOR WHEN A MAN FORCES HIS WAY INSIDE – HITS HER ON THE HEAD WITH A GUN – AND DEMANDS ALL HER MONEY. SHE’S RESILIENT THOUGH. THE CROOK DOESN’T GET WHAT HE’S ASKING FOR AND IN A FINAL ACT OF FRUSTRATION GRABS A BOTTLE OF PRESCRIPTION MEDS AND LEAVES.

HE TAKES OFF IN A DARK COLOURED 4 DOOR CAR WHICH WAS PARKED A COUPLE OF BLOCKS AWAY. IT MAKES PLENTY OF NOISE AS IT HEADS OFF INTO THE NIGHT. THE SUSPECT IS AN ABORIGINAL MAN BETWEEN 25 AND 30 YEARS OLD.

HE’S 5 FEET 8 INCHES TALL AND AROUND 150 POUNDS. HE HAD A SCRUFFY WHISKERED FACE AND WAS WEARING A TOQUE WITH A LIGHT GREY ZIP UP HOODIE, LIGHT COLOURED BAGGY PANTS, WINTER GLOVES WITH A BLACK STRIPE AND DARK SHOES.
