Bicycle theft

BIKES ARE AN ATTRACTIVE COMMODITY IN THIS CITY AND SOMETIMES NO MANNER OF SAFETY MEASURES CAN PROTECT THEM. IT’S LUNCH TIME ON AUGUST 8TH. A MAN ROLLS UP ON THE REGINA PUBLIC LIBRARY ON THE 2300 BLOCK OF 12TH AVENUE AND HE IS SPORTING A SWEET RIDE.

TO PROTECT THE STEED HE USES A CABLE LOCK TO ATTACH IT TO THE BIKE RACK BEFORE HEADING INSIDE. ONCE HIS BUSINESS IS DONE THE MAN RETURNS FOR HIS BIKE – ONLY TO FIND IT’S GONE. EVIDENCE OF THE CRIME IS MINIMAL SINCE THE LOCK WAS TAKEN TOO.

ASIDE FROM THE OWNER THE VICTIM OF THIS CRIME IS A SANTA CRUZ DIRT JUMPER. IT IS A SILVER AND WHITE BIKE WITH A FRONT PURPLE RIM, A REAR GREEN RIM, WHITE HANDLE BARS AND RED PEDALS. IT IS ALSO ADORNED WITH DECALS OF A ROCK BAND.
