Fraud

It was shortly after 10 o’clock in the morning on Tuesday, February 21, 2017. An adult male entered the TD Canada Trust Bank at 4240 Albert Street.  He tried to pose as a customer and asked to withdraw a large sum of money.  While he did provide multiple pieces of identification, he was also acting suspiciously and staff did not believe who he said he was.

Police were called but the man fled the bank before they arrived, leaving his pieces of ID behind. He was last seen running across Albert Street before disappearing behind the Travelodge Hotel across the street.  Police has since learned that the one was involved in at least one similar incident in Regina.

The man is described as appearing to be in his 50s, about six feet tall, with a medium build and short dark hair. He was wearing glasses, a dark toque with white writing on the front, a light brown or beige printed scarf, a dark winter jacket with light colored fur on the hood, a dark t-shirt, dark pants and light colored footwear.
