Theft

IT’S A CASE OF CROOKS WITH A TASTE FOR THE FINER THINGS IN LIFE.  JUST BEFORE 10 AM ON OCTOBER 25TH A CREW MOVES IN ON ANTIQUES FROM A TO Z ON THE 11 HUNDRED BLOCK OF ROSE STREET.  THEY’RE POLITE ENOUGH TO USE THE FRONT DOOR, BUT SINCE IT’S LOCKED THEY SMASH IT TO GAIN ENTRY.

ONCE INSIDE THE THIEVES SEEM TO TARGET SPECIFIC ITEMS.  A 14 KARAT GOLD MEN’S BRACELET ALONG WITH A LADIES BRACELET ADORNED WITH GEMS.  THREE RINGS WERE ALSO AMONG THE ITEMS TAKEN.  THE LOSS TO THE STORE OWNER IS SUBSTANTIAL.

THERE WAS NO SURVEILLANCE VIDEO AND NO DESCRIPTION OF SUSPECTS THOUGH A PAIR OF MEN WERE LOOKING AT TWO OF THE RINGS A COUPLE OF DAYS EARLIER.

POLICE ARE ALERTING PAWN SHOPS AND THE PUBLIC TO KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR THE MISSING ITEMS.
