It is approaching 9 p.m. on November 19 and crime is in the air. It is about 10 minutes to the hour when a man strolls into the Race Trak gas station on the 200 block of Edward Street.
He wants cash and gets what he asked for from the employees before taking off on foot. As police are getting the information on the first robbery, a second call comes in, this time from the West Side Confectionary on the 1100 block of Dorothy Street. The description matches of both accounts as the man is last seen heading toward Sherwood Drive with a red grocery bag in tow.
The suspect is a white man in his early 40s, somewhere between 5′ 5″ and 5′ 9″ tall. He has a slim build and deep voice. He was wearing an orange hoodie with sunglasses, dark blue jeans, dark brown work boots and tan gloves.
