Theft/Fraud

THIS CRIME OF THEFT AND FRAUD STARTED ON OCTOBER 16, 2018 ON THE 13-HUNDRED BLOCK OF NORTH BENJAMIN CRESCENT, BETWEEN 12-45 P-M AND 3-20 P-M. A SUSPECT OR SUSPECTS ENTERED AN UNLOCKED VEHICLE ON A DRIVEWAY, STEALING A WALLET CONTAINING A DEBIT CARD, A CREDIT CARD AND A DRIVERS LICENCE. THE DEBIT AND CREDIT CARDS WERE USED TO MAKE PURCHASES AT NEARBY BUSINESSES USING THE TAP PAY FUNCTION. THE SUSPECT OR SUSPECTS THEN USED THE DRIVERS LICENCE TO APPLY FOR MORE CREDIT CARDS, AND REDIRECT THE VICTIM’S MAIL TO A DIFFERENT ADDRESS. A MALE SUSPECT HAS BEEN ARRESTED FOR THE ILLEGAL TAP PURCHASES, BUT POLICE ARE STILL LOOKING FOR A FEMALE SUSPECT.

 

SHE IS DESCRIBED AS CAUCASIAN, 25 TO 30 YEARS OLD, BETWEEN FIVE FOOT FOUR AND FIVE FOOT SEVEN INCHES TALL, A THIN BUILD WITH REDDISH BROWN HAIR IN A BUMP STYLE.  DURING A PURCHASE, SHE WAS WEARING SUNGLASSES WITH DARK BROWN LENSES AND WHITE ARMS. A BLACK NECKLACE WITH A CRUCIFIX. A BLACK HOODED RIDER JACKET OVER A GREY FULL ZIP HOODIE, FADED BLUE JEANS, BLACK STUDDED BELT AND WHITE SNEAKERS.
